Product materials and care

Acouwood® brings the best of natural timber into your interiors. Our panels are crafted from eco-friendly materials, featuring an acoustic felt made from recycled materials. The slats have an MDF core with a real timber veneer. For cleaning, use a duster, a vacuum, or a slightly damp cloth. Please note: Real timber may exhibit slight colour variations, light knots, timber joins, cracks, and surface inconsistencies. It's also expected that continuous exposure to direct sunlight will cause minor colour changes, and prolonged exposure to moisture may cause the timber to warp. These characteristics are typical of real timber, but they also contribute to the natural beauty and timeless appeal.

Deeper & Richer Look

Using a luxurious ultra-matte UV-cured lacquer, we bring out the natural colour and grains of the timber without any of the “shine”. The colours of the timber appear richer, deeper and warmer.

Easiest to Clean

With our lacquered finish, our timber slats are completely sealed and can resist dust, stains and grime. Cleaning is a breeze - simply wipe the timber slats with a damp cloth. Acouwood Lacquered is 10 times more stain-resistant compared to unfinished panels, and 3 times more stain-resistant compared to oil-finished panels. There’s no easier timber-acoustic slat panel for cleaning and maintenance.

Authentic Timbers

Our Acouwood Lacquered panels only use the finest real timber veneers - American White Oak (Quercus Robur) and American Black Walnut. These are best-in-class timbers used in the finest furniture and interior decor. Real timber showcases unique grain details and retains their beauty over time, unlike technical veneers or dyed-imitation timbers with a flat grain that fades quickly with exposure to sunlight.

Reduce Sound & Echoing

Reduce echoing in your home with Acouwood® panels, made from a 9mm acoustic felt backing—the same material used in recording studios and concert venues

Bare wall transformed by

I was pleasantly surprised as to how straightforward it was to transform a bare white wall into a warm and attractive feature.
So easy to do even for a novice do-it-yourselfer. Congratulations to Acouwood.

Homely House in Canberra

Fitted so easily, minimal tools required and simple to cut to size. We had MDF originally in place we so just attached the Woodspace slats over the surface. Very warm and cosy finish made simple by watching the video and I also rang for extra advice which gave me confidence to tackle the job myself. I can now sit back and enjoy a beer whilst telling my bride of 51 years how talented I am. Thanks Woodspace

Just what I was hoping for

We used 8 panels and one trim piece of the white oak to transform our TV wall. Really happy with how it came out. The panels are really heavy duty, much better quality than the ones you’d get at Bunnings. I took my time cutting and hanging them up and using some off cuts to surround our outlets which I think was worthwhile.
The delivery took 2 attempts because the delivery company doesn’t give any heads up or notification of when they’re coming, which seemed a bit inefficient. But was still very fast overall.

Frequently asked questions

How do the acoustic wood panels arrive?

The acoustic wood panel range comes in 2 panel sizes:

  1. 2700 x 520mm (2.7m x 0.52m) - this size is suitable for walls between 2100mm - 2700mm, and even up to 2800mm if you have skirting boards. If your wall is shorter than 2.7m, you can simply saw off the top of the acoustic panel with a simple hand saw, circular saw or drop saw.
  2. 600mm x 600mm - this size is designed for creating beautiful feature walls or entire walls with a unique pattern structure e.g. basketweave.

Do the panels come in larger sizes?

Panels are designed to join width-ways and long ways seamlessly for any length or width. It’s super simple to join panels - just place them next to each other and nail or glue into the wall.

Do you produce custom panel sizes?

Our panels can easily be cut or joined for different sizes.

Custom sizes are only offered for orders in excess of 20 panels (or 10.4 meters of panels) up to a height of 3.5m. Please note that custom orders have a lead time of 2 - 3 months.

Please reach out to support@woodspace.com.au for a custom quote and order timeframe.

Can the panels be used in a bathroom or kitchen?

Panels are fine in these areas if not in direct contact with water. However, as a real timber product, it will be susceptible to warping and mould if left in contact with water.

We recommend choosing our lacquered products e.g. Natural Oak (Lacquered) or DIY lacquer on any of our products - this provides additional water-resistance.

Can the panels be used outside?

Acouwood wall panels are designed for indoor use only, or enclosed outdoor areas not exposed to the elements or sunlight.

On which surfaces can I install the panels?

Acouwood panels can be mounted on all surfaces, including gyprock, plywood, brick, concrete, and plasterboard.

How will my order arrive?

We pack orders and ship them out from our warehouse next business day with our network of reliable couriers. You will likely receive in 2 - 5 business days, although remote regional areas may take up to 7 days.

If you have any delivery related notes or requirements, feel free to reach out to support@woodspace.com.au and we will be happy to assist.

What is your returns policy?

We are absolute believers in our product and we provide the most generous returns policy in the industry, where you can return any resellable products to us for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

You will need to transport the returned product to us safely and in original condition for us to honour the return. Any costs associated with transporting it back to our warehouse will be your responsibility. Please see our full returns policy here.
