Woodspace Outdoor Cladding Corner trim is used to finish external corners where two cladding walls meet. It covers the cut edges of the panels on both sides, creating a clean, neat corner while protecting the edges from weather exposure.

The trim is installed over the battens at the corner before or during cladding installation, allowing the panels on each side to slot neatly into place for a consistent finish.

How to Install

Corner trim is installed on external corners where two cladding walls meet. Once the battens are fixed in place, the corner trim is positioned over the corner so it covers the battens behind. The trim is then secured into the battens using outdoor screws. Cladding panels are installed on both sides, fitting neatly into the trim to create a clean, finished corner.

Disclaimer

This tool gives you a good estimate, but it’s not always exact. If your wall height is taller than one panel, it may suggest an extra full panel per row, even if only a small piece is needed. Remember, panels can often be cut to fit multiple rows. Mixing panel sizes can also help reduce waste and cost.

Frequently asked questions

What is corner trim used for?

Corner trim is used on external corners where two cladding panels meet, covering exposed edges and creating a clean, finished corner

Do I need corner trim on every corner?

Corner trim is recommended for exposed external corners. Internal corners may be finished differently depending on the installation method and wall layout.

Why is the corner trim larger than the panel?

The trim is designed to cover both the cladding panels and the battens behind them, ensuring the entire corner structure is hidden.

How is corner trim installed?

Corner trim is fixed onto the battens at the corner using outdoor screws. The cladding panels on each side are then installed into the trim.

Does the corner trim match the cladding?

Yes. Corner trims are colour-matched to the cladding range for a consistent appearance.
